Whistler mountain trail winding through alpine forest with peak views

ADVENTUREROUTE·WHISTLER

Mountain routes shaped by terrain, season, and your pace

Segment 01 — 2026 Season

From village pathways to glacier ridgelines, we chart excursions across the Coast Mountains with certified guides who know every switchback, creek crossing, and weather window on the map.

Plan a route

Every route begins with a conversation about what you want to experience

AdventureRoute Inc. is a Whistler-based excursion company that designs guided mountain routes for individuals, couples, and small groups. We do not operate as a travel agency and we do not sell flights or hotel rooms. What we provide is route planning, on-trail guidance, safety briefings, and the local knowledge that turns a hike into a genuine mountain adventure.

Our 2026 season runs from late May through early October for alpine programmes, with select winter snowshoe routes available from December through March. All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and include guide fees, route materials, and basic safety equipment where noted. Transportation to trailheads is arranged separately and clearly outlined before you confirm.

Whether you are visiting Whistler for the first time or returning to explore terrain you have never reached, our guides adapt pacing, elevation gain, and rest stops to match your fitness level and the conditions on the day. We believe the best routes are not the hardest ones — they are the ones that feel right when you are standing on them.

Four segments define every AdventureRoute excursion

Planning framework — applied to all programmes

01

Consultation

We review your dates, fitness level, and interests during a pre-trip conversation. You tell us what kind of terrain excites you — forested lakeside paths, exposed ridgelines, or glacier approaches — and we match you to the right programme.

02

Route Design

Our guides study current trail conditions, weather forecasts, and seasonal access restrictions before finalizing your route card. Every excursion receives a printed route brief with elevation profile, estimated duration, and emergency contact protocols.

03

Guided Traverse

On the day, your certified guide leads the group at a sustainable pace with regular hydration and viewpoint stops. We carry group safety equipment including first-aid supplies, emergency shelter, and satellite communication devices on remote routes.

04

Debrief

After every excursion we conduct a brief debrief covering trail feedback, wildlife sightings, and suggestions for your next route. Repeat guests receive a route journal entry documenting distance, elevation, and personal milestones achieved.

Before you book your route

No. AdventureRoute Inc. is a guided excursion and route-planning company based in Whistler, British Columbia. We do not sell airline tickets, reserve hotel accommodations, or operate as a licensed travel agency. Our services are limited to mountain route design, on-trail guiding, and related safety briefings. You are responsible for arranging your own transportation to Whistler and your own lodging. We are happy to recommend general areas to stay based on your programme start point, but we do not handle bookings on your behalf.

Most of our village and lakeside programmes require moderate fitness — you should be comfortable walking 8–12 kilometres on uneven terrain with up to 400 metres of elevation gain. Glacier and Garibaldi routes require strong cardiovascular fitness and prior hiking experience. We assess this during your pre-booking consultation and will recommend an appropriate programme.

All prices in Canadian dollars include your certified guide, a printed route brief, group safety equipment, and basic trail snacks. Personal gear such as boots, layered clothing, and daypacks are your responsibility. Glacier routes include crampon and ice axe rental. Transportation from Whistler Village to remote trailheads is quoted separately.

Mountain weather is unpredictable. If your guide determines conditions are unsafe — due to lightning, whiteout, avalanche risk, or extreme heat — we reschedule at no additional charge or provide a full refund. We monitor Environment Canada forecasts and Avalanche Canada bulletins daily during operating season.

Yes. Our Private Custom Route programme accommodates groups of two to eight participants with a fully tailored itinerary. Contact us with your preferred dates, group size, and terrain preferences and we will design a route card within three business days. Private bookings require a 30 percent deposit at confirmation.
